THE Conservative Government’s squeeze on services has caused a massive implosion within the NHS and social care sector to almost breaking point.

Was it the Government’s intentional move to drive through the privatisation of the NHS?

We must not delude ourselves, it has been happening over the last six years since David Cameron came into office.

Yet, it’s interesting to note when the railways were de-nationalised, Virgin Trains emerged.

And now we have Virgin Care, founded in March 2010 as a private provider of services to the NHS in England.

Virgin Care owns 24 GP-led provider companies that provide NHS services through networks of GP surgeries and community-based NHS services.

They now operate more than 230 NHS and social care services throughout the country, becoming a major player in the market for NHS services since it entered the healthcare market in 2010.

Privatisation started six years ago.
