COMMENT: Tourism event a great chance to show off new-look Theatre Royal
WELCOME to Yorkshire’s annual Y17 conference has a way of attracting big names. In previous years they have included everyone from Olympic cyclist Lizzie Deignan and Paralympic superstar Hannah Cockroft to Last Tango in Halifax’s Dean Andrews.
The names are being kept under wraps for now, but more special guests are expected for this year’s event, on March 21.
Which is great news - because this year the conference, which celebrates Yorkshire as a great place to visit, is being held at the Theatre Royal here in York.
It promises to be a top-notch event - and the perfect way to show off the revamped theatre to the world.
