ON a recent visit to town I was shocked to notice the lack of good Christmas decorations and nice Christmas trees.
In years gone by there used to be a tree located near the Theatre Royal. Where’s that gone?
The decorations throughout town are poor.
We seem to be outdone by Harrogate every year.
Why isn’t there a tree located in the middle of Parliament Street (where the fountain is located) as a nice focal point for people/tourists to meet and have a coffee?
Surely as a popular tourist town our council should be pulling out all the stops to make York a more festive place to be.
