I WOULD like to respond to the news that the York Minster bells will cease until the new year (The Press, October 13).
I am disgusted at the way these bell ringers have been treated.
After 30 years, the powers that be have decided they are no longer and they have to be trained.
It appears to be a case of health and safety going overboard again.
To change the locks on the tower doors makes you wonder where the Christian faith has gone.
I wonder if the Archbishop could overrule this?
