WITH regards to the Seasick Steve gig at York Barbican, what a gig this was. And what a guy Steve is.
I was one of the lucky people to see Steve live and I must say that this gig was out of this world. I can relate to every word that Steve sings, as I was homeless myself for eight years.
When I first heard Steve, I did not know what to make of him. But Steve is one of, if not the best blues players in the world today.
I was also lucky to meet Steve before his gig and got his autograph and had a chat with him. He always puts his fans first and music second.
Steve was on for two hours but if the fans had their way it would have been a lot longer.
Thanks to all the staff at the Barbican for this gig. But I would like to give Steve even bigger thanks.
Andy Reid, Thisleton Court, York.
