CONGRATULATIONS to the editor for taking the brave decision to avoid any charges of “taking sides” on the local and national elections.

I have lived in many parts of our country and sampled many local papers, but I can honestly say that The Press is the most unbiased record of local and national events that I have been privileged to enjoy.

The icing on the cake is that this fact is not just my opinion, but is shared by my many visitors from London, Scotland and Wales.

In addition to that, on a weekly basis I send cuttings of interest to friends and relatives, which are all read and enjoyed.

So please keep up the good work and your independence.

PS TO READERS: Please vote on May 7. Then you can send your political complaints to The Press with a clear conscience.
