HOW ironic that during the election campaign I had cause to write to the Electoral Services office of City of York council and received a letter back from them dated 17-04-15 with the address of Electoral Services, Fawkes Room, West Offices, York.
The electoral office, supposedly an office to enhance democracy, is named after the Guy who tried to destroy the Houses of Parliament.
Surely someone within the city of York council must have a wry grin on their face.
