I WALK across the Castle car park every day and it never ceases to amaze me how people cannot park their cars straight.

On many occasion I have seen cars parked at an angle, as if they have driven into a parking space and not taken the time to straighten up. This then means their car is often over the white line of the parking bay, forcing other cars to follow suit, or leave empty spaces as they cannot squeeze into them.

Recently a few of the larger pot-holes on the car park have been filled in.

It looks a mess. The whole car park would benefit from a total makeover – a complete re-covering of the whole area and slightly wider parking bays with fresh white lines, to accommodate larger cars driven by people unable to park straight.
