THANK goodness for the women in this general election campaign as the likes of Nicola Sturgeon, Natalie Bennett, Leanne Wood and Caroline Lucas give a compassionate alternative to the dour pseudo-intellectual message from the masculine dominated leadership of the Tories, Lib Dems and New Labour.

As the Green Party suggested in their boy-band video spoof, the fab four of Nick, Dave, Ed and Ringo Starresque latecomer Nigel Farage sing to the tune of globalised big business and fat cats as there is precious little on offer from them to improve the lives of the expanding underclass in the UK.

The basic beliefs of the major parties regarding equality are fundamentally flawed and their moral ineptitude is not entirely male-orientated, because the austere ethos is echoed by New Labour’s Rachel Reeves who wishes to be tougher than the Tories on the “feckless”.

Perhaps a better analogy than a manufactured pop band would be Nick, Nigel, Dave and Ed scrutinising their reflections and paraphrasing those immortal words... “Magic mirror on the wall, who is the nastiest one of all?”

Regarding the blatant disregard of the underclass, others can decide who the mirror responds to thus... “You are the nastiest of them all”.
