HOW often do you have concerns about a branded product you have bought; not very often, I would think.
Recent legislation changes to the way tobacco products are to be marked (plain packaging) really is cause for concern.
The likelihood of counterfeit product hitting the market place must surely be increased.
Recent reports of counterfeit tobacco imports, albeit they are smuggled into the UK, must be of concern. These reports of various kinds of unsavoury and harmful ingredients being included will only serve to increase our NHS costs.
Why should members of the public be denied the guarantee that they are buying genuine product?
This letter is not an invitation for the anti-smoking brigade to jump on their hobby horse; they are just as complicit as the government in seeking plain packaging of tobacco products.
