THERE is to be a congestion commission including a panel of experts with cross-party support. The projected cost is £135,000.

In the years 2013/14, £1,099,495 was spent on consultants fees some of the projects probably never reached beyond the drawing board. Since then projects reported in The Press as being in the pipeline include Re-invigorate York and others.

Since then, cosmetic work has been afforded for King’s Square, plus thousands of pounds on 20mph signs, to mention a few.
Much of this has to be on borrowed money paid off with interest. It seems to be quite a tangled web.
