WHY do so many car drivers when parking in streets around South Bank think it is okay to park on the dropped kerbs?

Don’t they know these are for people in wheelchairs and the like who can’t manage to step up on to the pavements?

On several occasions recently, I have been stopped from using the dropped kerb while on my motorised scooter, having to go instead on the road, which is not a good idea. It is infuriating! Have people no common sense?

Motorists should think before parking over dropped kerbs. Also, isn’t it in the Highway Code that cars should not park near a junction, which is where the dropped kerbs are?
