HANG on a minute! How can the proposed hotel to replace the Reynards Garage in Piccadilly be off?
We were told categorically by the former council leader James Alexander that the site had “been sold” and therefore could not be transferred to the Yorkshire Air Museum to create a visitor attraction.
Now we are told the site was merely subject to a number of commercial offers; none of which are to be accepted.
Now we are told the site was not sold. Can we ever believe anything City of York Council tells us?
Matthew Laverack, c/o Lord Mayor’s Walk, York.
