MAY I congratulate The Press on the noticeable improvements of the newspaper over the past few weeks – it’s outstanding.

Given the difficult times the regional press has gone through, it’s heartening to see a fightback with something pure and simple: quality. The editorial and all-colour picture usage, layout and printing is very impressive.

The photographs, in particular, are pin sharp, with the high resolution printing technology – a far cry from my days at The Press shooting in black and white where you could count the individual black dots on the printed page.
