I AM pleased that Julian Cole (Column, January 15) gave Prime Minister David Cameron some credit for the way he handled the Paris shootings. This was richly deserved.
The last Labour government with Gordon Brown left at the helm was a sinking ship. Tony Blair jumped ship leaving Gordon to take the flack and in the mire, the Treasury leaving a note saying the coffers were bare.
The medicine has been hard to take with the unfortunate cuts to save the country from bankruptcy.
Chancellor George Osborne has been brilliant in adversity. Let us have continued faith in the coalition. Whomsoever is in power is vilified by the media. You cannot please all of the people all of the time, can you?
