ON WATCHING York City FC play Stevenage at home on Saturday from the Family Stand, can I say how irritating and saddening it is to hear loud and persistent sledging of the linesman from the front row by men old enough to know how to behave better, especially in earshot of young children.
The York City Family Stand is a great facility and it is a shame that the ball girl sitting on the pitch side had to hear a load of unnecessary abuse and language, let alone their own (and my) children.
