IT’s seems that Keith Thornton (Letters, January 5) hasn’t listened to what George Osborne has said about the state pension.

When will the state pension age stop rising, Mr Thornton?

At age 80, 90, 100 or beyond? The rise in the state pension age is driven by powerful money people behind closed doors.

Mr Thornton says I hate everything Tory; not true, I feel sorry for them because of their apparent hatred for the working class and inability to properly help business by helping everyone in the UK.

The state pension and benefits system isn’t being reformed by the Tories; it is being dismantled for many people, something which New Labour were keen on too.

New Labour aren’t that different from Mr Thornton’s Tories as they too are bereft of any idea how to better the lives of everyone in the UK.

The Tories are borrowing as if there’s no tomorrow, on a road to nowhere. I suspect they will leave a note saying: “There’s even less money left now as we have handed it all over to the one per cent.”
