Update the lights
I AM absolutely amazed that York is to be inflicted yet again with another expensive traffic survey (Fresh drive to tackle gridlock, September 17).
Lets have value for money – that is, use the proposed expenditure on commissioners of £86,000 to completely update all York’s traffic lights, some of which are 20-years-old, and replace with modern digital ones that York council could mould to its requirement.
