WITH reference to a letter in The Press of August 23, a resident of our beautiful city paid a rare visit to the centre. She said this was spoilt by the sights she saw.
There was rubbish everywhere and the visit was a disappointment.
York is dirty and scruffy. King’s Square is horrendous. I agree with the comments she made.
Two years ago I wrote and said York had been robbed of its cobbled streets and traditional areas, plus history of its past.
I welcome some improvements but York lacks modern toilets and please clean up the city of rubbish.
