I READ with some disappointment your article proclaiming victory for Bicis y Mas in their licensing battle. (The Press, August 12).
For the record, in order to operate the type business as presented to the licensing hearing by Mr Thackray he requires approved planning permission for a change of use at his premises.
At the time of the hearing, Mr Thackray did not have that change of use granted and had yet to even apply for it. It is a poor day for your readers and The Press when you proclaim victory for the likes of Mr Thackray who shows such disregard for the city while belittling those with a genuine grievance.
