MY breast cancer treatment at York Cancer Care Centre came to an end last December.

I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional care I received from every member of staff in that department, who I am sure must have been specially selected to work in this sensitive area of the hospital.

I am also thankful for my referral to the Bexley Wing at St James Institute of Oncology, where again the care was excellent.

Last year my daughter was fortunate to be treated by Dr Gerry Robins, consultant gastroenterologist who speedily diagnosed her with a rare condition, and she is now enjoying good health thanks to his expertise.

In recent weeks, my mum has been referred to the stroke unit and I am confident she is in good hands.

I should also like to thank those responsible for the management of York Teaching Hospital where my family and I have received first class treatment and care, we are extremely grateful.
