NIGEL FARAGE is not installed at Number 10 yet. What a shame.

If he was we would have binding local and national referenda on major issues, no tax on the minimum wage, a new system of grammar schools, benefits only available to those who have lived here for more than five years, and of course total withdrawal from the EU as a means of recovering power over our national life.

Although I am an active member of the Libertarian Party, I have always voted UKIP at General Elections.

Aled Jones, Mount Crescent, Bridlington.

10 letters from the Badger (of this parish) and if that is not proof enough of his condition, he evidently intends to give up a lifetime of Tory voting for the sultry embrace of Nigel Farage. Lets hope there are plenty more like him, especially in the Tory marginals.

However even the Murdoch Sun gives Nige only 8 seat the general election. A few hundred short of what is needed for Downing Street.

Fair point ColdAs. Cameron didn't get an overall majority but coalition was an option for him. That option would never be open to the kippers, so its 326 or nothing for them. (my money is on nothing).

How do you know that the "score-hacker" isn't somebody who seldom, or never, posts on here but just goes quietly about their business, merrily altering scores to infuriate those who take themselves, and the guff they spout, far too seriously?

It's not just you Buzzz. Look at his posting at 6.05 and 6.39 on Saturday about a mysterious letter and something about bacon. If he is sending a letter to me it is going straight in the bin along with all the adverts for pizza delivery.

He is also under the impression that the Labour group on the council are all Marxists (if only) and in a conspiracy with dear old auntie Polly Toynbee of the Guardian and right wing nutter David Aaronovitch both of whom are also Marxists according to the Badger of this parish.

Not obsessed, but, not happy that the person obsessed with hacking them, manipulates them to stop them reflecting the opinions of those who use the facility. The hacker clearly thinks that the scores have value, otherwise why would they devote so much time to distorting them?

Farage is a right wing free marketeer - more priviatisation of the NHS and a single tax rate for all - regardless of income. UKIP are not a one policy party, vote for this party of racists and unless you have made millions as a banker (Nigel Farage was a banker - he is fully in favour of the policies that brought us the economic slump) you'll end up very heavily out of pocket.

Nigel Farrage is a right wing danger. French National Front leader Maraine Le Pen said there was "no reason" why she couldn't work with UKIP. If you want to see fascists in Downing Street vote UKIP.

If you want to leave the EU there are other parties with that policy, but without the bitter right wing racism, sexism and scare mongering.

The allegation that people are "throwing the racist card around" is not supported by the facts.

In the very reputable Yougov poll which is reported in most papers today
62% say that UKIP is either racist or it attracts racists. Only 25% say it is not racist.
Those are the facts. People who post here saying that UKIP is racist are representing the majority view.

If 62% think UKIP are racist that that is what people think, irrespective of who they vote for. Or how you want the world to be.
Either live with that and stick to your guns and allegiances, or don't. But you cannot argue that 62% is not a majority and I must admit, looking at comments made by UKIP politicians over the last few months and looking at some of the rather dubious bedfellows they have, I am one of the 62%.
Your choice who you vote for, my friend, but you simply have to live with what other people think.

I didn't say Farage was a racist, I don't think he is. His party however attracts fascists and racists, and that influences policy.

The point I was making is that UKIP aren't a one policy party. They have other hugely damaging policies, and if you want to leave the EU there are other parties with that policy that don't have the vile stench of racism that UKIP has. For example The Green party has a very different vision for the EU than what we've got now. The Socialist Party also oppose the EU.

UKIP will batter the working people of this country, absolutely batter us as they are the bankers friend, the friend of big business, and it's the "man in the street" that pays.

You want to leave the EU? Look at the other parties before voting for this lot.

Good grief people.

1) If you don't like N Farage, fine, but do you have the guts to stand up and do something different to the run-of-the-mill main parties? He does and for that I can applaud him.

2) If you do like N Farage, join UKIP, find a way to promote a wider range of 'policies' and that may be the way to change things.

3) Carry on moaning if you think that will change things, it won't. Either Put up or Shut up.

Oh and to the offensive shrew (or maybe shrews,,,) who can't leave scores alone, why?

No it's not... The General Election is a very different beast altogether. UKIP may get a few seats but not enough to warrant any significant concern to any of the big three parties. Is that fair? Who knows, but the nations rejected PR not so long ago.

Aled, you are "walking in the air" if you think that Farage/UKIP will win the general election. Perhaps they will win the European elections on a low turnout. They will then proceed to stop the Tories winning the general election, thus delivering a Labour government, in the wake of which you will no doubt pen a 'will the last person to leave Britain please turn the lights out?' letter to the Press.

Perhaps if, as Steve White writes above, voters haven't become disillusioned with the three 'major' parties then Farage may not have the appeal he seems to have attracted. Sadly, LIBLABCON are long past their shelf-life. The Tories rely too much on figures and reports and appear to have little grasp of reality. Since the days of Blair Labour have become the most blatantly dishonest party. Their biggest talents appear to be theft by stealth and smokescreening. LibDem have shown themselves to be chancers of the worst sort. All three have a policy of abusing their opposition and policies instead of telling us what they will do themselves (and how they will realistically fund it). We also seem to be America's lapdog and spend a fortune for that dubious privilege. One only has to look at some the trade embargoes that America has applied to us to see how 'special' that relationship is. With regards to Europe we could learn from the Danish or Dutch economic models as to how to meet our international obligations without detriment to our own inhabitants (of all creeds and colours) or bankrupting ourselves. It really is time for a new political model to emerge, one that will learn from the past but not live in it.

Well my take on it is this. All politicians are in it to get what they can, none of them are in it because it is their passion.
Second, all politicians (of all party's) have two things in common. Firstly they are all excellent in their use of the English language, whether it be selling some dubious and unpopular topic to the general public, or defending themselves when caught doing something wrong?
The second thing that they all have in common is the fact that every one of them are totally useless at anything else.
If I were in the position of Owner of a huge multi-national company? I wouldn't employ any of them. (on second thoughts, maybe as a salesperson? that's about all they are good for)
So why bother voting in what are essentially salespersons to run the Country?

Nothing will make me sell my soul and vote for anything to the right of Libdem, and I don't want politicians to change their tune every five minutes to entice me to vote for them.

However, we need a referendum on EU membership, whatever the outcome.
