York Press: Best comedy Best comedy

I WORKED until late on Tuesday and getting home I sat down to relax and enjoy an old episode of Benidorm, thinking that would be the best comedy of the night.

How wrong I was.

I had not reckoned with the Teflon-coated James Alexander, leader of City of York Council, appearing on BBC Look North.

I have had to endure the closure of Lendal Bridge for many months, and the countless tailbacks in other parts of the city which made my life much harder, cursing James as I went along my way, only to discover he was not the bad man after all but it was everybody else.

Les Coverdale, Wigginton, York.

Ah yes, Les Coverdale... the bloke who wanted to get from Wigginton to the rail station, but was seemingly completely unaware of the presence of the A1237!!
