WITH reference to the article “300 a day fined on bridge” (The Press, March 21), the council believes it will improve bus times and reduce pollution.
Well, I think it has moved the pollution elsewhere and one of those roads is the A19 to Selby.
The build-up of traffic starts earlier and lasts longer, and as far as bus times are concerned, over the Christmas period it took us almost as long to get from the railway station to Broadway on the bus as it did from Chester-le-Street in County Durham to York on the train.
