WITH regards to On This Day (The Press, February 1), I would have thought it worth a mention that George Beverly Shea was born in 1909 in Ontario, Canada.

He has been soloist with Billy Graham since 1946 and still occasionally sings in public. He holds the world record for singing to the largest number of people in personal attendance – it was 220 million some ten years ago. Goodness only knows what the figure is now! What a trooper”.

I heard him at Wembley in '66 - blimey; it's struck me that something else happened there that year!
