Get it sorted out

I WITNESSED ordinary “landfill” vehicles collecting recycling on three different streets in the Acomb area.

One vehicle was collecting garden waste along with recycling, ie glass, plastic, paper, etc.

On contacting the council, I was assured that when these vehicles returned to the depot all their contents would be sorted as appropriate.

I would like to have seen someone physically sorting the garden material from paper, glass, etc. I think not.

Well if somebody at the depot is sorting the stuff out for there and then, why not all the time so all we have to do is dump all recyclables into one big bin rather than the time-consuming process of sorting it??
