THE death by suspected suicide of the 46-year-old Indian nurse from the King Edward VII hospital is so very sad and could not have been predicted by anyone.
The two young Australian DJs who made the hoax call never intended any harm to anyone.
Yes, it was silly, unethical and should not have been sanctioned by their employer.
There were several mistakes made in this desperately unfortunate case, but the two DJs should not have to accept all the blame.
The nurse should not have put the call through and the second nurse should not have divulged private medical information via the telephone to anyone.
The British media need not have made it headline news everywhere. The hoaxers would not have expected such a ‘‘daft’’ call to be accepted in the first place.
The entire event is so very sad, with no winners.
