FRIENDS of Chapman’s Pond, off Moor Lane, Dringhouses, are recruiting volunteers. The seven-acre site is beautiful, but could be better.
We have a management plan to work on and are seeking people who would train (for free) as a tree warden. Anyone who is interested should email harvey.lowson@york.gov.uk.
Also, would any fisherman help us to improve the fish stock and pond? Or would you like to help install bird and bat boxes next spring? Or apply for funding? Volunteers are also need to tidy up litter and remove scrub.
Please contact me as indicated below or come at 7pm to Love To Eat Café, Moor Lane, on Thursday.
