YOUR feature on how to weather the winter (The Press, November 13) was interesting, but I think I got a little too much of the sunshine vitamin on Sunday.
We had wall-to-wall sunshine at Tadcaster, where the Railway Institute Golden Rail brass band played for the Remembrance Service.
Part of the march was directly into the sun, which made it a bit more difficult with the reading of the march cards.
The band gets used to playing in all kinds of weather, marching through fog at Easingwold one year, to having the band’s tent come adrift in a howling gale.
But I don’t think we have time to think about the next subject in your story, Seasonal Affected Disorder, as we are all too busy.
