1) 21 May 1990 - Poppleton Methodist Church celebrates its centenary with a period costume parade
2) 5 April 1977 - Nether Poppleton churchyard
3) 12 March 1992 - A driver spent an hour trying to free this 63-tonne lorry after the back wheel became lodged down a BT manhole in Nether Poppleton, while carrying a crane from Poppleton to Tadcaster
4) 17 November 1965 - A blacksmith's shop near the war memorial and green in Upper Poppleton. The parish council were unhappy that it looked delapidated.
