LOCKDOWN has been a passion killer as the birth rate has fallen to a record low, while the number of divorces has soared.

This comes as no surprise to me. Couples who are unaccustomed to being together all day and every day, often find it difficult. I spend a lot of lot of time at home with our cat for company. Fiesty though she is, she is far easier to brush along with than my husband.

When he is at home we bicker about anything and everything, from why he puts the washer on with only two items of clothing in it, to why I leave piles of stuff everywhere. I often ask him: "Haven't you got something to do in the garden?" just to get him out of the house.

Suddenly having to live on top of one another is rarely a match made in heaven, as many couples across the world have found out.
