A YOUNGSTER'S head shave has raised £1,000 for the appeal to buy quadriplegic Max Parker a special bike-cum-wheelchair.
Jimmy Dalgleish, ten, got his hair shaved off by Brian Hughes at Brian’s Hair Fashions in South Bank Avenue, York, on Saturday afternoon.
The money will go towards a £4,000 appeal by the parents of five-year-old Max, of Campleshon Road, South Bank, who want to buy the equipment so he can go on bike rides with the rest of the family.
"We hope to do another three to four fundraisers and we should be almost there," said his mother Lisa.
