CHILDREN at Martin House hospice in Wetherby are in for an Easter treat thanks to generous customers from a York travel agency.
The Cooperative travel shop on Clifton Moor have donated more than 40 chocolate eggs to be given to the children and their families at the hospice. John Haigh from the hospice picked up the donations.
The shop has been doing this every Easter for over ten years, and assistant manager Philip Franks said their loyal customers do not have to be persuaded to donate.
“Every year we have people asking us when we are going to start collecting. This year the first person asked as early as February,” he said.
“The hospice is a good cause and they really appreciate it. We’d like to thank our customers for being so generous.”
