ORGANISERS of a vintage tea party are calling for dancers and music fans to help them raise cash for good causes.

The event is taking place at Joseph Rowntree School this Saturday, April 5 from 11am-3pm, as part of tjhe Smiley Riley fun day raising money for children going through chemotherapy.

Singer Mickey Ramsbottom and the Alka Seltzer Sisters will perform, along with 1940s DJ 'Murray' and dancers.

Dances will include the Jive, Lindy Hop, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Waltz, Cha Cha Cha as well as the popular sequence dances like the Gay Gordons, Barn Dance, St Bernard's Waltz and the Palais Stroll.

There will also be refreshments in the Vintage Cafe and stalls. Entry in £1 for adults and 50p for children.

Car boot places are available at at £10 a stall, and volunteers are needed to help with the event. Contact 07818 506 476 for further information.
