A CHARITY ball is being hosted at York Racecourse to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and When You Wish Upon a Star, which grants the wishes of children with life threatening illnesses.
Hosted by NHS North Yorkshire and Humber Commissioning Support Unit, it will take place on April 5.
Maddy Ruff, managing director at NYH CSU said: “The charity ball at York Racecourse is set to be a great evening; guests will be entertained by The Casino band and disco and will have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes. A range of local businesses and partners have generously donated some valuable prizes, not least a trip on the Northern Belle Orient Express, for which we are extremely grateful.
“We hope we’ll raise a good amount for such worthwhile causes.”
