A local optician is holding a fundraising event today to support its charity partner, St Leonard’s Hospice.
Acomb Specsavers will be running a tombola raffle, a bake sale and giving away free goody bags, each containing a voucher for a free eye test.
Several companies have donated raffle prizes, including a manicure at Christine’s Nails and Beauty, solar-powered lights from Barnitts, a big breakfast from Acorn Butchers and many others.
The store has pledged to raise money for the hospice throughout 2013.
