Prime Minister Theresa May has to go. I am tearing my hair out from her Brexit dealings.

I voted to leave, unequivocally, for the reasons of the referendum: control of immigration, borders, sovereign state and our own laws. Simple.

The reason we can’t get out of this mess is that the EU bureaucrats have stitched up membership making it impossible to leave - which makes me even more determined.

I am apoplectic about the humiliation of this country by the likes of the arrogant and pompous Barnier and Juncker in Brussels and the subservient stance taken by May for our country. Where is our national backbone, determination and fire in our belly? We’ve become a nation of jelly babies.

For two years May has obfuscated Brexit and will negotiate a bad fudged deal. We allowed Barnier and Juncker to set the agenda - with deadlines from day one - which was catastrophically incompetent.

May should have appointed a cross party government negotiation team as it affects the whole nation. Not ideal but if the EU won’t negotiate we have to be prepared to walk.

I don’t want a general election only to give Corbyn the reins. In fact, I don’t feel that any of the political parties represents “me” now. Where are the leaders I can respect and trust?

They say you get a Parliament you deserve. Well the people don’t deserve this farce.

EU trade deal has to be a two-way street

About 35 years ago I was at Haydock races. I can remember the day because I think it’s the last time I backed a winner.

There was a man at the entrance gates, he would have been in his late 60s or early 70s. He had a sandwich board saying: ‘The World is coming to an End’. There was no date, but I suspect the world has seen him out.

Some Remainers have this country going to the wall over Brexit. When Britain didn’t use the euro, some people predicted doom and gloom. The opposite happened: our economy outperformed the Eurozone.

It is now two years since the referendum. The economy and employment have done okay.

There is one thing I do know: a trade deal is a two-way street.

If the EU does not reach a trade deal with the UK there are going to be a lot of car bargains for the Germans, French and Italians. The only problem for them is their car won’t have a good second-hand value because the steering wheels will be on the wrong side.

‘No deal’ won’t lead to chaos in Britain

This time next year nearly six months will have elapsed since the UK left the EU with ‘no deal’.

On both sides of the Channel chaos will have been replaced by hard headed realism, common sense will be prevalent, life will be returning to normal and better times blossoming, and everyone will be wondering what all the fuss was about and looking forward to glorious summer holidays with money to spend.

We’ll all be totally relieved at having no longer to listen daily to fork-tongued politicians, know-all bureaucrats, other self-centred interests now shunted sideways.
