York IDL Dyslexia Centre: Specialist Tuition for Reading and Spelling Difficulties

York IDL Dyslexia Centre is a specialist tuition centre for children and adults who have diagnosed dyslexia or reading and spelling difficulties.
We offer tailored support to help you overcome your difficulties, improve your literacy skills, and reach your full potential.
We use a highly successful, specialist computer programme called IDL, delivered with on-going tutor support. IDL is a unique multisensory, structured learning system.
We offer a free initial assessment to find out your reading and spelling levels, and hourly support sessions once or twice a week to improve your reading and spelling.
After 26 hours on IDL students are reassessed to measure progress, and they receive a progress chart and certificate. For most students there will be a noticeable improvement in both reading and spelling.
