POLICE searching for a missing York student have recovered a body from the River Ouse.
Officers recovered the body of a man from the section of the river close to the A64 road bridge, after it was reported to them by a member of the public at about 10am this morning.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said that the body was expected to be formally identified tomorrow.
20-year-old University of York student Robert John Davies went missing in the early hours of last Sunday morning following a night out in York.
