VENTUREFEST has returned to its February date after clashing with another Yorkshire exhibition.
Organiser Chris Wilson announced two weeks ago that the science and technology event would be moved from February to April, because it had "dodged snow and ice too many times".
But today the organisers said they have moved the date from April 24 to February 28 after clashing with the Yorkshire Mafia conference in Leeds.
The organisers said: "Whilst Venturefest Yorkshire aims to be specific to the needs of entrepreneurs in science, technology and innovative businesses we feel that to have two of the largest events in Yorkshire happening on the same date is counter-productive.
"Through successful contract negotiations with York Racecourse, we have sourced a new date which is Thursday, February 28th 2013. Staging the event at this time will allow both events to occur in a non competing way and create benefits for those due to take part."
