A YOUNG York entrepreneur who runs his own music magazine has been shortlisted for the National Diversity Awards.
Dom Smith, founder of Soundsphere, has been shortlisted for the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award in the Disability category of the awards, after launching the magazine and the mentoring group Disabled Entrepreneurs.
Dom, who has cerebral palsy and walks with two sticks, overcame the challenges of his disability while reporting and built up confidence travelling on his own to the United States to study for four months.
He now travels the world to cover music events.
Dom is one of three shortlisted candidates for the award and the winner will be announced on September 21.
