A DELEGATION of Chinese lawyers met their York counterparts and dignitaries at the weekend.

The group were invited by the College of Law to visit York as part of a professional trade mission that brings it to London every two years.

Andrew Lindsay, director at Lupton Fawcett, said: “We thought it was important to show there’s a world outside London that does a lot of work that they might think they needed to go to London to do.”

“The city is very keen to promote York as a professional services centre and one that a city that looks outside the city walls,” he said.
