LEISURE airline Monarch will launch 12 new scheduled routes for summer 2013 from Leeds Bradford Airport, creating 200 jobs within the local area.
The airline has launched new routes to Lanzarote, Antalya, Barcelona, Bodrum, Dalaman, Faro, Rome, Heraklion, Larnaca, Menorca, Majorca, Tenerife and will continue a route to Munich.
Tony Hallwood, commercial director of the airport, said the new routes were expected to generate about 20,000 additional passengers from Europe to the Yorkshire and York will be a main beneficiary of that.
