YORK’S historic Bonding Warehouse has still not been sold, more than eleven years after it fell empty following severe flooding.
Charterer surveyors appointed to sell the landmark riverside building near Skeldergate Bridge, which was used as a bar and music venue until it was flooded by the River Ouse in November 2000, say they have no further update at this stage.
The Press reported in January that culture bosses were looking into setting up a new arts centre in York and the Warehouse was one of a number of sites being looked at as part of a feasibility study.
