AN event to promote broadband infrastructure in the UK is being held at York Racecourse.
The NextGen Roadshow – one of a series being held across the UK – will bring together suppliers, investors, expert advisors and community stakeholders to discuss local broadband access networks.
The roadshow is open to regional businesses, with the first 100 places for small to medium sized enterprises being allocated free of charge.
It is being held at the racecourse on March 27 and will be opened by Councillor James Alexander.
Coun Alexander said: “York already ranks among the top ten cities in the UK for broadband coverage, although many parts of the region are lagging behind. We are committed to working with partners to ensure that the citizens and businesses of York are at the forefront of having access to superfast broadband.”
