A PUBLICATION by The Press is being distributed internationally to attract business into York.

The York Report containing the facts and figures behind York’s economy, was published in February and distributed at science and technology conference Venturefest.

The report has since been in demand from businesses in York and further afield, to spread the word about York as a centre to do business.

Rushbond Property Developments has requested copies to take to Berlin for the International Hotel Investment Forum to give out to prospective investors in the city. Further copies have been taken by Visit York to International Confex 2012, a trade exhibition for the conferencing industry, which is being held at ExCeL in London until Thursday.

Katie Stewart, head of economic development for City of York Council, said: “The York Report is proving a valuable resource for those of us wanting to promote the city as a destination for business and innovation, as well as a quality of life offer. It presents the city that we are all a part of in a new and refreshed light – as a modern and forward-moving city – and is a useful complement to any event either hosted in the city or indeed hosted by an organisation based in the city.”
