A YORK printing company has won a national award for its designs.
Sane Design, a franchise of Printing.com based in Micklegate, won two awards in the eighth Printing.com Annual Design Awards.
The business won first place in the “Functional” category, which included products with a specific function such as websites and menus. For the winning design, the business created a flyer for cleaning company Lemon Fresh, based in Station Lane, York, which featured a cut out introduction card for people to keep in their wallet.
The company also won second place in the “Identity” category for branding such as logos, stationery packs and business cards. The company designed a stationery pack with corporate branding for Kendal Blue, a coaching and mentoring company for professionals also based in York.
The awards were open to more than 350 Printing.com franchises nationally. Andy Sumner, creative director at Sane Design, said: “There are between about 400 to 500 designers sending in several pieces to the head office of Printing.com every year for these awards. So to get somewhere is really quite an achievement.”
