ARTISAN cheese maker, Shepherds Purse of Thirsk, has picked up two awards at the Global Cheese Awards.
Yorkshire Blue, the company’s best-selling cow’s milk cheese, picked up silver in the blue vein cheese, soft class, and Yorkshire Fettle, made with ewe’s milk, scooped bronze in the sheep’s milk cheese category, at the 150th anniversary awards event in Frome, Somerset.
