THE Lord Mayor of York and the civic party have experienced a new way to enter the city after launching a river cruises firm.
The Lady Mayoress, the Sheriff and the Sheriff’s Lady joined Coun Sue Galloway in cutting the ribbon for Pink Moon Cruisers at the Ship Inn, Acaster Malbis.
The owners of the enterprise, Carolyn and Tony Ward, who live in the village, then took the civic party upstream on the River Ouse on their sea-going motor cruiser, passing Bishopthorpe Palace, home of the Archbishop of York.
Pink Moon Cruises will specialise in two-hour and 45-minute trips, during which passengers can take the helm and can be served refreshments and food.
