ONE of Britain’s top business organisations will be coming to North Yorkshire for its annual conference next year.

About 600 delegates representing 210,000 members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) will descend on The Spa in Scarborough for the three-day conference starting on March 22 next year.

The news was announced at Venturefest by John Walker, national chairman of the FSB, who said his delegates would be urged to spend on smaller ventures rather than large businesses in the town.

That, he said, should mean a bonanza for small hotels and bed and breakfast operations in the seaside resort.
